Let me start by clarifying that what I am saying here is not because I am a Sig hater. I carried a Sig Sauer every day for about 16 years, starting in the academy in 1995 up until I bought my first Glock as my department was getting ready to make the change. I was a big Sig fan for a long time.
Even after switching to Glock, I still liked Sig and continued to buy their products for personal use.
That is up until all this stuff started happening with the P320. I’m not angry because the gun has a problem, I am pissed because of how Sig has been handling the whole thing.
On June 24th, 2025, a Ceres, CA police officer was shot by her issued, holstered Sig Sauer P320. The incident was captured on surveillance video, which the Ceres PD released on Facebook yesterday.
To my knowledge, Sig has not made any public comments about this incident, but I guarantee when they do, they will blame the holster and the backpack.
I was never a Sig hater, until Sig turned me into one a couple of months ago.
I talk about it a lot more in the embedded video. Give it a watch and let me know what your opinion is.
I have a P320 spectre comp but it’s not my EDC. I only use it for pistol competitions.
Keith,
Thank you for all you do to help keep us safe, and the training you provide us to keep our churches safe. I’m disappointed to hear of another Sig 320 injury. As an owner of one also, I would like to know if this is a gun issue, or another issue. Check out this video I found on the subject.
