Cannot Be A "Firearms Instructor"

The mass murder suspect in Maine, whom I will not ever name, is being constantly referred to by the mainstream media as an "Army reservist" and a "firearms instructor."

Let me dispel that bullshit right here.

I can't speak to his status in the Army reserves, but I can tell you that legally speaking he is a FORMER firearms instructor, because since the summer of 2023 he has been a prohibited person who cannot legally posses a firearm.

In the summer of 2023, he was committed to a mental health facility for two (2) weeks for homicidal thoughts. The term committed is a specific legal term that means he was placed there against his will by someone with the legal authority to do so.

Federal law 18 USC §922(g)(4) prohibits someone who was committed to a mental institution from possessing a firearm or ammunition. Violation of that section is a federal felony.

So please, stop calling him a "firearms instructor." That would be like calling me a gas station attendant or a bank teller. Yes, I did those jobs once upon a time but I am no longer either of them.

The mainstream media does this every single time. Every. Time. The mainstream media cannot be trusted. They have an agenda and the sooner people figure that out, the better off the entire country will be.
