CA Bill Will Ban Lead Ammo at Shooting Ranges-AB 3071
California's latest strategy in the war on gun owners has been to do a backdoor gun ban. First, they created the "safe handgun registry" , then it was mandatory background checks to buy ammunition. California also banned leaded ammunition in hunting within the state and bans sales of ammunition to those visiting from out of state. Hunters can't bring ammo into the state, even though they can't buy ammo in the state. See what they did there?
AB 3071 Will Ban Leaded Ammo at Shooting Ranges
AB 3071 will ban lead ammo at shooting ranges. Authored by anti-gunners Kevin Mullin (D) and Bob Wieckowski (D), the bill could effectively shutter shooting ranges throughout California. The bill specifically states:
This bill would prohibit a sport shooting range or an indoor shooting range, as defined, from selling or giving away ammunition unless that ammunition is certified as nonlead ammunition by the commission. The bill would also prohibit patrons or employees of a sport shooting range or an indoor shooting range from firing ammunition unless it is non lead certified and would require a sport shooting range and an indoor shooting range to post a specified sign to that effect.

The Backdoor Gun Ban
California has been trying to ban guns in California for over 30 years. Knowing that they can't ban guns because of the Second Amendment, California is now banning or restricting accessories or making it entirely difficult to actually go out and use your firearm. All of this is a de facto gun ban.
